This rare, silver-plated Adolphe Tenor horn is stunning.

Supplied with the original case, a vintage Selmer neck strap and a Brillhart mouthpiece, with ligature and cap.

It has had a no expense spared restoration including a repair to a damaged screw pillar, new screw manufactured and fitted, tone holes levelled, removal of any key play where possible, replace pads, felts and corks, replace springs where necessary, re-fit neck tenon, clean and polish body and keywork, re-assemble, regulate and play test. 6 weeks of work and the result is an instrument that looks and plays without fault.

The history books state that in the 1920's Selmer collaborated with Adolphe and produced a line of instruments with Selmer 26 bodies and Adolphe keywork. The result was a superb instrument with a rounded Selmer tone from the 26 body and the reliability of German engineering for the keywork. Add to that modern techniques in restoration, gets a horn that although close to 100 years old, plays as tight and as well as any modern day horn out there.
