Pre-owned in excellent condition, showing just a few very small scratches to the outer casing. The DATA knob is a loose fit but works perfectly, otherwise, this unit is excellent throughout with no operational issues.

Please note: the fan can be a little noisy, but this is a standard feature of this model.

What to expect on first start up: - If the fan starts up with excess noise, leave running for a minute or so, shut down, leave for another minute and then re-start. All will be much quieter. This leaves the sound of the hard drive running. When left on and unused for a short while (15-20mins) the hard drive goes into standby mode and the unit stays on, with just the feint background fan. This is a known characteristic of this model and is not a fault.

This unit is running on operating system 3.1.0. and has a Western Digital 20GB Extended IDE Hard Drive installed

The Sintefex FX2000 analog sample digital stereo equalizer/compressor uses "dynamic convolution" to provide retro warmth with modern digital precision and maximum control

The FX2000 is a stereo "spin-off" of the more full-featured FX8000.

10 SHARC floating-point digital signal processors provide up to 800 Mflops per channel. There's a 3GB disk for storing samples and programs used with the dynamic convolution process. Also included is a power linear mode capable of reproducing analog equalization with linear phase response.

Both channels support sampling rates up to 96kHz(24-bit) and are fully balanced on both analog and digital Connections

A digital high-pass DC removal filter on the analog input provides 3dB attenuation at 1Hz and 0.1dB at 6.5Hz at

48kHz sampling rate. At 96kHz the attenuation is 3dB at 2Hz and 0.1dB at 13Hz.

The FX2000 uses programs, effects and samples to create its extraordinary replication of analog processes.
