Structurally, there are no issues with this guitar at all, no splits or repairs and the integrity of all the joins, where soundboard and back meet the sides, where the neck meets the body and the head, all the internal bracings are all structurally excellent. There is no bellying to the top and the bridge has no issues at all, sitting flush all the way around.
The only issues are cosmetic and in line with its near 40 year age tag. There are no marks to the neck, back or sides. The only marks on this guitar are to the soundboard. There is a large series of possibly pick marks or exuberant "tapping" marks on the downstroke side of the sound hole, a couple of very small dents to the top and some very faint scratches.
Acoustically the guitar sounds stunning. Rich in tone with all lows, mids and highs projecting well. The body has a great resonance to it and this is without a doubt, a high quality concert classical guitar that will add to anyones repertoire. These days, Michael Gee guitars sell for £6000 upwards and it's obvious looking at the build quality, but most importantly, listening to the tonal quality of this early example, why he has become a maker of such renown.
