Pre-owned in excellent condition with one professional repair to the sound board.

Supplied with a hard case.

The repair was required because the sound board developed a split between the bracings. It has been professionally repaired with cleat repairs to the inside, bracing the split throughout and at each end to ensure it will not spread, otherwise, this incredible guitar is in excellent condition throughout showing just one small ding to the top.

It has just undergone a full professional luthier set up with a well-respected Lewes luthier (receipt included), to ensure the guitar gets to you in the best possible playing condition.

The guitar was believed to have been made in 2008 as part of the Signature Series released as a limited number of just 25 super special custom build guitars. This one was specially made for Guitar Notes and given an additional "Maestro Series" label, however, when looking at back catalogues of Jaime Julia guitars, it's clear looking at the design and intricate head carving, that this is one of the 25 Signature Series, released in 2008.

The materials used, a beautifully grained Cedar sound board with Rosewood back and sides with ornate purfling to accentuate the bookmatch and an intricate herring bone binding. The herringbone theme continues on both the rosette and bridge inlays, the back of the head has ebony binding, the front of the head is veneered with ornately carved rosewood and the carved rosewood theme continues on the bridge.

The guitar, finished in a high gloss lacquer, is as good to look at as it is to play. Full, rich tone, with deep bass and projecting highs. Even with the repair, which only has an effect on value and not on how the guitar performs, this is one of the finest guitars from a very well-respected luthier.

New prices for this series were circa Euro 6000, we believe this one is priced very competitively for such a rare example.
