Pre-owned in remarkably good condition, the guitar shows just a few very light scratches to the body and a couple of tiny dings to the top (see pictures), but on the whole, this beautifully crafted guitar has been extremely well looked after.

There are no splits, cracks or visible repairs. The reinforced neck is in great shape and the guitar has been strung with a new set of Superlona Classic N Flatwound Concert strings which like any classical string change, will take time to settle.

The guitars construction is a solid 2-piece cedar top with a highly figured, almost quilted ovangkol back and sides. The neck is mahogany and the fingerboard is rosewood. The body has multilayer binding to front and back. The sound hole has an intricately inlayed rosette.

The guitar comes with the original Takabe, Japan hard case, which is also in good condition but does show some small tears to the black vinyl covering.

In summary, it's a classical guitar crafted to a very high standard, by a well renowned Japanese maker whose work is becoming very collectable. Apart from adjusting the tuning, this 40+ year old classical is ready to pick up and play.
